Delta Escalda - Salt-based water descaler

Why and when to use a salt-based water descaler?
Vibrant Water now also sells salt descalers that can remove the calcium and magnesium from the water by means of salt and thus completely prevent limescale. These are water descalers that are adjustable. In this way, a little calcium and magnesium is retained in the water so that the water still tastes good but at the same time you do not get any deposits. Our experience is that conscious people prefer not to drink water from which all minerals have been extracted. The water is often tasteless and dull. The minerals give the water structure and a kind of extra richness/fullnes. That is why we have also added a mineralization filter which adds some minerals after the descaling.

The people who already have a salt descaler that is not adjustable and, for example, want to add some extra minerals in the kitchen such as: calcium, potassium, sodium and magnesium, could consider purchasing a mineralization water filter (which at the same time removes heavy metals and chemicals from the water).

This is an image of water that has been treated by a salt descaler and then vitalized with the Aqua Orient after which minerals have been added again with the K7M mineralization filter. Because the K7M filter has added very fine minerals to the water, you can see extra clearly how beautiful organic structures appear as a result of the vitalizer.

Our advice is to set the water descaler to a water hardness of 3 or 4 German degrees. That way the water tastes richer/fuller and the body can absorb the water more easily, in which case you can get as much calcium and magnesium out of it as you wish.

The Delta Escalda is a very compact simplex all-in-one descaler with one resin bottle. This descaler has a capacity of 1m³ and supplies soft water until the resins are saturated. It has then reached its capacity and must generate. This generation takes only 15 minutes after which it delivers soft water again.

Why a water descaler?

No limescale deposits in your water pipe

Lime deposits in the water pipes in your home. This leads to a narrowing of the pipe with a reduced flow as a result.

No more energy loss
The lime from your tap water deposits on the heating element of many household appliances, just think of the boiler, washing machine, coffee maker, dishwasher, water cooker ... The lime forms an insulation layer around the heating element, which means that more energy is needed to heat up the water.

Longer service life
The same household appliances break down faster due to lime in the water. This can be prevented by using only soft water, which means that the devices have a longer lifespan, which is cost-effective.
  • No electricity or battery
  • A power supply is not necessary.
  • Compact & flexible
  • Installing the systems can be done in many ways.
  • Water-controlled
  • The water pressure is sufficient for the correct operation of the device.
  • Low salt & water consumption
  • Due to the compactness of the resins, less rinsing water and salt is needed during rinsing.
  • Development and production under one roof
  • By monitoring the quality of design and production, we guarantee a ready-made top product.
  • Possibility to set a residual hardness

After a good consultation with your installer, the water can retain a certain amount of lime. We at Vibrant Water are in favour of that. This is because lime and magnesium are minerals that also give the water taste, structure and a unique color. Our experience is that when all lime has disappeared from the water, the water is less easy to drink.

Why combine a water softener with a water vitalizer and a water filter?
The combination of a water softener/descaler with a water vitalizer and a water filter ensures a good improvement in water quality. Although the softener removes limescale, the vitality does not change, therefore our advice for the use of a water vitalizer. The vitalizer then brings the water into harmony, a vital water structure forms that contributes to a healthier body. The water is therefore more similar to the water in your body, making it easily absorbable and tasty to drink. By also using a water filter you remove the chemical contaminants and heavy metals, so that the taste is also neutral.

Installation information
We always have the installation of a salt descaler done by an experienced local plumber. The descaler must regenerate after 1000 liters, which costs 300 g of salt.
Capacity is 1500 l/h. Reordering salt costs: €10,- for 25 kg and €300,- for 1000 kg (excluding shipping or transport).
All Delta descalers are delivered including a water hardness test set and a bag of salt (25kg).

All Delta water descalers are individually tested and are equipped with built-in control valve for residual hardness, double protection in the salt bin and are equipped with a bypass.

Vibrant Water does not install water descalers but has this done by local, knowledgeable installation companies. You can also find a reliable plumber from your area yourself.
At the bottom of this page you will find the extensive brochure about these products, a brief description of how to set the hardness and the installation manual.
